Allison Heller gets the low down on the package which provides artworks on loan for housebuilders, and vouchers for buyers to choose their own</b></b><br><b>You&’ve all seen those typical art prints in show homes: pastel landscapes in the tradition of learn-to-paint-with-watercolours kits, or the mass-produced &“contemporary&” primary-coloured blobs-on-squares found in any Habitat store. </b><br><b>&“No more!&”, says britart, a specialist art dealer which wants to change all this. The firm is offering housebuilders the chance to impress potential buyers by hanging originals by upcoming British artists on their show home walls, with the added incentive of offering vouchers as part of the sale that will enable them to choose their own.</b><br><b>&“We can&’t understand why you have apartments all fitted out with expensive fittings and then there&’s a cheap print on the wall,&” says britart&’s head of art consultancy, Eleanor Forster. </b><br><b>&“We really want to break into a market that&’s currently held by print companies and say to [housebuilders]: &‘there are real emerging contemporary artists.
