<p>Homes England’s completions were 15% below its target for 2021/22, with the government housing agency also missing other key targets for the period.</p> <p>Publishing its annual report and financial statements, Homes England said the total completions that it had directly supported came to 37,632 for 2021/22 when its target was 44,275. It had expected completions to rise 27%, based on a notable number of affordable housing projects completing within the year.</p> <p>But Homes England’s total affordable completions reached 26,953 – the target was 34,349. It also underachieved on three other key performance indicators, with total completions additional to the market at 25,279, <span>18</span>% below the target and total starts supported by Homes England undershooting the target by 21% at 38,562.
