Homes England launches new approach to land disposal

<p><span>Homes England has launched its new Delivery Partner Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), which it says will make it easier for housebuilders to access its land for development.</span></p><p></p> <p><span>The £20 billion DPS replaces the Delivery Partner Panel 3, which enabled the procurement of housing-led development on land owned by Homes England and other public sector bodies.</span></p><p></p> <p><span>With Home England’s move to a dynamic purchasing system, housebuilders can apply to join the government housing delivery body’s list of preferred developers whenever they choose, instead of waiting for the list to be renewed every four years.</span></p><p></p> <p><span>Homes England said this was the biggest DPS of its kind, at a value representing its largest procurement undertaking to date.</span></p><p></p> <p><span>It added that local authorities and housing associations could use the Delivery Partner DPS to procure housebuilders, “making it easier for them to build homes on the land they own”.</span><span> </span></p><p></p> <p><span>Housebuilders should apply to join the DPS when they see sites of interest, Homes England said, with applications now open on an ongoing basis.
