Home Builders Visitor Card reaches 500 milestone

<p><span><br/></span></p><p><span>More than 500 applications have been made for the Home Builders Visitor Card since it launched last December, according to the Home Building Skills Partnership (HBSP).</span><br/></p> <p><span>The new visitor card, developed by HBSP and the industry, replaces the Construction Skills Certification Scheme’s (CSCS) construction site visitor card which the business stopped issuing in February.</span></p> <p><span>The card, valid for five years, is also available digitally and stored via the Vicarda app, allowing for a site manager to check it through the Go Smart app, HBSP explained. Two out of three applicants were choosing the virtual option of the card, it added.</span></p> <p><span>HBSP is now advising those whose CSCS visitor cards expire at the end of August to “apply now and avoid the August rush for renewals”.</span></p> <p><span>The Home Builders Visitor Card stores details of the CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&amp;E) test passes that the employee has achieved.
