Hill to deliver first homes of Aylesbury Estate regen

<p><span>Hill has been appointed to deliver the first homes of Notting Hill Genesis’ regeneration of the Aylesbury Estate in Southwark, south east London.</span><br/></p> <p><span>The housebuilder will build 229 homes on a parcel of land known as “Package A” at the junction of Bradenham Close and Westmoreland Road.</span></p> <p><span>Of the properties, 84% will be available for social rent, including 54 extra care units and seven homes for people with learning difficulties.</span></p> <p><span>Package A is part of the wider First Development Site. This will provide more than 800 homes, a community facility and new public open space. The site will also provide a range of job and training opportunities for Southwark residents, including 224 sustained jobs, 98 apprenticeships and 105 training places.</span></p> <p><span>The regeneration of the Aylesbury neighbourhood is a long-term partnership between Notting Hill Genesis and Southwark Council which will see more than 3,500 new homes delivered, half of which will be affordable housing, with 75% of the half being for social rent.</span></p> <p><span>Cain Peters, Hill’s regional director, said: “We are delighted to have been appointed to work on this exciting regeneration project and look forward to working with Notting Hill Genesis and Aylesbury residents to provide high-quality, affordable homes.”</span></p> <p><span>Jeremy …
