H+H appoints new operations director

<p><span>Aircrete manufacturer H+H has appointed Phil Ball as its operations director.</span><br/></p> <p><span>Joining the firm from Finnish timber company Metsawood, Ball will take charge of H+H’s three manufacturing plants in Borough Green, Kent and Pollington in Yorkshire.</span></p> <p><span>The new recruit is a manufacturing specialist with, H+H said, a personal and professional belief “in the importance and potential for UK manufacturing.”</span></p> <p><span>H+H added that Ball took a “shopfloor-centric” approach to his work. Ball said: “</span><span>Equipment and automation are important, of course, but the heart of any business is its people: its customers and its staff. Put the people first, design the processes that make it as easy as possible for them to do their job and the results can be truly dramatic.” </span></p> <p><span>He will be based in H+H’s headquarters in Kent, splitting his time equally between the company’s two locations. Ball’s responsibilities will include operations, procurement and health and safety.</span></p> <p><span>H+H has recently completed a two-year investment programme in its factories.
