HCA set to smash year targets

The Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) is set to report a "very strong" year of delivery, according to its preliminary results. It brought 182 hectares of previously developed land back into use against a target of 160 hectares under its Property and Regeneration programme, while the agency's total programme investment for the year was within budget at £2.3 billion, including a £1.2 billion investment in the National Affordable Housing Programme (NAHP).<br> <br> HCA said that it expected a "positive performance" for housing starts and completions for the year.<br> <br> "We have utilised our enabling role to help communities achieve their housing ambitions, and significantly invested in the places that need it most," said chief executive Pat Ritchie.<br> <br> The HCA has also opened the retendering of the Delivery Partner Panel (DPP) first launched in January 2010.<br> <br> Housing developers and consortia have been invited to join DPP2, a new version of the panel devised to streamline the procurement process.<br> <br> HCA said that in anticipation of the amount of public land expected to be brought forward as part of the public land disposal strategy, the number of members per geographical area would rise from 17 to 25, and the number …
