The Home Builders Federation is calling on SME housebuilders to share their experiences of the challenges facing the industry and the effect on their businesses.
SMEs are being invited to complete a short survey about their experiences, whether they are having to scale back their operations or change strategic direction in the face of economic and political challenges.
The survey is designed to inform the work of HBF, building on its State of Play report which was published earlier this year in partnership with Close Brothers and Travis Perkins. The report found that 92% of SMEs are unhappy with the government’s current approach on housing and that 93% say securing and processing planning permission to the point where construction work can start is the major barrier to growth.
The survey is open to all SMEs, not just HBF members.
