The Home Builders Federation has appointed Andy George as its director of industry attraction and skills.
George joins HBF from Barratt Redrow where he was its head of talent management. He has worked alongside HBF for a number of years to drive collaboration and attraction activity across the housebuilding sector, in his capacity as a member of the Home Building Skills Partnership expert panel.
He is also chair of the HBF skills and supply chain engagement group and was previously chair of the HBF career attract group.
As well as close to 20 years’ experience in the housebuilding industry, George has developed multiple critical development frameworks and strategies within both the hospitality and supermarket sectors. He accumulated much expertise in key HR and development roles.
George takes over from Jenny Herdman, who retired from her role as director of the Home Building Skills Partnership in March. He joins HBF following the Skills Partnership’s move from being a separate entity to becoming HBF’s Industry Attraction and Skills team.
