But Mark Bolland later stood back from Royal duties in the hope of building a portfolio of important clients in civvy street.<p></p><p> Amazingly, his latest client appears to be none other than Tony Pidgley senior at high-flying Berkeley - in a move which follows swiftly on the signing of Victoria Mitchell, former &amp;“queen&amp;” of the London residential scene at top people&amp;’s agent FPD Savills. Some say that Bolland could be pocketing a near six figure annual fee to ensure that Berkeley remains on the right side of the people who count.</p><p><b><b>Private perks</b></b><br> Reporting from some property shindig in the South of France, John Waples in Property Week magazine observes that all the tycoons who have the fun these days - private jets, helicopters, yachts and weekend pads in Monaco - have done it by jumping into the private sector and away from nosy shareholders.
