<b></b><b>Wilcon on the street</b><br> News that Coronation Street's Rovers Return may be converted into a trendy bar with a silly name has been greeted with horror throughout the land. But it is a further modernisation in Corrie that is concerning the good folk of Wilcon - and particularly John Weir. Apparently Granada want to tear up the cobbles and replace them with tarmac. Weir has called on councillor Audrey Roberts to put a stop to this, which he says is a move which is &amp;"out of touch&amp;". He also has offered to resurface the street in pavers which look like cobbles but without the maintenance disadvantages. Look out Cadbury's, it looks like Wilcon and Weir fancy that coveted Corrie sponsorship slot.<p></p><p><b><b>Shrewd shares </b></b><br> Off he goes at 47, ready to find the real meaning of life as a beach-bum in Bali or maybe as the chap in charge of the boot room at Liverpool FC.
