Government has today launched a growth strategy for the northern regions, along with a £100 million fund to drive forward an "economic renaissance" in the north. Moving Forward: The Northern Way was launched in Leeds by deputy prime minister John Prescott and three northern regional development agencies (RDAs)- One NorthEast, Yorkshire Forward and the Northwest Development Agency. Its aim is to create more jobs, investment and opportunities.
