Ben Roskrow looks at what is proving to be a challenging market for the firm</b></b><br><b>Bristol is a city ripe for the modern wave of development that is sweeping the nation under the government&amp;’s drive for urban renaissance and sustainable living. Or so you would think.</b><br><b><b>Perfect recipe</b></b><br> A surfeit of redundant industrial buildings - perfect for development - loom over a network of waterways in the city, ready to satisfy the needs of the new industry that is coming into the area. It should make for the perfect recipe for the sort of successes being achieved in London, Birmingham and Manchester.<p></p><p>But Bristol is taking its time, and local developers are finding it that bit harder to shift units in the city than they are in, say, the Midlands or Yorkshire. </p><p>For Beaufort, the local Berkeley subsidiary, it is not for the want of trying.
