<p>Gleeson Homes has appointed Steve McElroy, former Keepmoat and Miller sales and marketing director, to be its group sales director, a newly created role.</p> <p><span>McElroy has 30 years’ housebuilding experience. After holding sales and marketing director roles at Keepmoat Homes and Miller, he was regional sales director at Gleeson Homes and Keepmoat.</span></p><p></p> <p><span>He then launched a related consultancy business, allowing him to continue to work closely with Gleeson, focusing particularly on the company’s South and West Yorkshire and Midlands teams.</span></p><p></p> <p><span>In his new post, McElroy will support Gleeson’s sales teams across its regions, ensuring that they are “delivering high-quality affordable homes to those who most need them” while performing according to the affordable housebuilder’s strategic growth ambitions.</span></p><p><span>“I cannot think of a better candidate for group sales director, considering Steve’s extensive industry track record and in-depth existing knowledge of Gleeson," said Mark Knight, Gleeson Homes' ceo.</span></p><p></p> <p><span>“In the current market, establishing a comprehensive sales capability is more important than ever, and we need to ensure that our sales teams are provided with the tools to drive completions and boost revenues.
