Get Britain Building Fund open to smaller sites

<p>The government has lowered the threshold for sites applying for the Get Britain Building Fund to 15 homes, down from 25, giving smaller builders the chance to bid.</p> <p>The programme, which supports developers facing difficulties accessing development finance and by sharing risk, is designed to unlock 16,000 homes by March 2015. It was launched at the end of last year with £570 million available to sites of 25 homes or more. But it is understood that £100 million or so of the fund has not been allocated, prompting the government to lower the threshold.</p> <p>The second round of bidding is now open with information available on the Homes and Communities Agency website - <a href="http://www.homesandcommunities.co.uk/">www.homesandcommunities.co.uk</a>/get-britain-building </p> <p>Expressions of interest must be submitted by noon on July 25 2012 </p>
