Gair retires

Bill Gair has announced plans to retire from Retirement Villages, the housebuilder founded in 1981, which was the subject of a management buyout in 1992 and acquired by Romac Investments in 2005. A director of RV responsible for land acquisition, planning and development, Gair, who is also a former HBF president, has no plans to leave the development scene. He said: “One or two non-exec roles will keep me busy and with the speed at which the planning process moves I hope to be able to handle two or three land development opportunities a year.”
