Forticrete has been awarded the highest performance rating of “excellent” in six out of seven factory assessments for the responsible sourcing standard, BES 6001. <br> <br> Following the successful evaluation from the British Standards Institution (BSI), the company received the accreditation for all of its product groups – roofing, walling, cast stone and architectural masonry, covering all of its manufacturing sites. <br> <br> The BES 6001 standard for responsible sourcing demonstrates that a building material is sustainable and has been produced in a way that has minimised its environmental impact. <br> <br> John Lambert, general manager at Forticrete, commented: “Having already been awarded the ISO 14001 environment management standard, I am very pleased to announce that we have now been awarded the BES 6001 standard across our entire product range and all our manufacturing sites.”
