Former Spitfire md to head Burrington Estates Midlands

<p>David Jervis, former boss of Spitfire Bespoke Homes, has been appointed to head Exeter-based Burrington Estates’ new Midlands division.</p> <p>Jervis, a former chartered surveyor and now md of Burrington Estates Midlands, has built a track record of establishing housebuilding ventures in the Midlands, setting up Spitfire in 2010 as the residential arm of IM Properties. Within seven years, the business had a turnover of £100 million. In 1995, he started Chase Homes on behalf of a Midlands entrepreneur. </p> <p>Burrington Estates was founded in 2013 by Mark Edworthy and Paul Scantlebury. During the past five years it has completed more than 400 homes in the South West, with a portfolio of sites carrying a GDV of £300 million and the business achieving a turnover in 2020 of £70 million. It aims to deliver 600 homes per annum by 2025, trebling turnover in the next five years.</p> <p>To support its intended growth, the residential and commercial developer recently received a £15.5 million investment from independent investment company BGF. Of the new funding, £13.5 million is assigned to the expansion of the new homes business.
