Fermor-Dunman moves to Miller

<b></b>Geoff Fermor-Dunman, the man at the heart of Wimpey's procurement and partnering strategy under former chief executive Dennis Brant, has joined Miller as operations director. As with his Wimpey posting, he will be concentrating on supply chain management, technology and partnering.<br><b> &amp;"Geoff's appointment reflects our intention to offer direct competition to the best publicly quoted companies in this sector,&amp;" said Miller md Geoff Potton. </b><br><b><br> </b><br><b><b> Housing demand remains strong </b></b><br> This month's HBF survey finds that there is no sign of any significant weakening in demand - visitors, net reservations and prices are all rising while housebuilders remain optimistic about sales prospects for 2001. Incentives are now being taken off. <p></p><p>Government figures find that in the latest three months private enterprise starts were up 9% on the previous three months and down 1% on a year ago.
