Ex-Crest boss joins Miller Homes board

<p>Miller Homes has appointed industry heavyweight Stephen Stone to its board as a senior non-executive director.</p> <p>Stone, who was an advisor to Apollo, the asset management company that acquired Miller Homes as announced <a href="https://www.house-builder.co.uk/news/miller-homes-bought-apollo-bridgepoint">last December</a>, has amassed 40 years of experience in housebuilding. Most notably he was ceo of Crest Nicholson from 2005 to 2019.</p> <p>Most recently, Stone was non-executive chairman of Keepmoat, stepping down from the business last year. He holds non-executive roles within the Home Builders Federation, NHBC, Orbit Group and ilke.</p> <p>Stone joins a board of leaders with extensive housebuilding knowledge. In March, Miller <a href="https://www.house-builder.co.uk/news/stewart-lynes-become-new-miller-ceo">announced changes to its leadership team</a> - former chief operating officer Stewart Lynes is now ceo with former boss Chris Endsor becoming executive chairman. This restructure is part of the housebuilder’s next stage of growth. The business builds around 4,000 homes a year across the UK and intends to increase this to 6,000 units in the medium term.</p> <p>On Stone’s appointment, Endsor said: “Stephen is a valuable addition to the board, with few people sharing his vast experience and knowledge of the sector.
