Eurocell has launched Ecologik, an innovative new post-consumer recycled PVCu window system. <br> <br> Ecologik offers ultimate PVCu window sustainability because it achieves both the carbon reduction requirements of the Code for Sustainable Homes up to Level six, zero-carbon, and the sustainable design criteria of BREEAM – all in one product.<br> <br> It does this by using post-consumer recycled PVCu, taken from end-of-life frames which are able to achieve a U-value of just 0.8.<br> <br> Ecologik is a fully design-engineered co-extruded system, developed at a cost of £3million. All post-consumer recycled PVCu is intelligently hidden from view in the core of the profile – ensuring all external surfaces remain bright white PVCu so specifiers do not compromise on finish quality or aesthetics by going green. <br> <br> Specifying Ecologik provides an effective and sustainable method of managing end-of-life PVCu frames, reducing use of landfill and offering savings on landfill taxes for contractors and installers.<br> <br>
