EPCs now available at A Proctor Group

The A Proctor Group's technical department has announced that two of its employees – Susan Menmuir and Pamela Howat – are now both Energy Performance Certificate (EPCs) Assessors within Scotland, with Menmuir carrying out domestic assessments and Howat focusing on non-domestic assessments. Both are members of the BRE Global Accredited Scheme, which gives housebuilders confidence in both the certificate and accompanying recommendations for cost effective energy performance improvement.<br> <br> Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) provide a detailed recommendation report showing how the consumer can reduce the amount of energy they use and their carbon dioxide emissions.<br> <br> The calculation method for dwellings under Section 6 of the Scottish Regulations is a new version of SAP – the Standard Assessment Procedure for the Energy Rating of Dwellings. Simplified Building Energy Model (iSBEM) is a software tool developed by BRE that provides an analysis of a building's energy consumption. <br> <br> www.proctorgroup.com
