Energyflo’s dynamic insulation is spot-on for Code level four

Energyflo Insulation Technologies is among an elite band of suppliers to AIMC4, a consortium of industry trailblazers set up to pioneer the volume production of low-carbon (Code four) homes in the UK. <br> <br> Selected from more than 300 hopefuls bidding for a place on the AIMC4 pilot project last year, Energyflo’s “dynamic insulation” is to be used in the construction of the first AIMC4 exemplars in June 2011.<br> <br> AIMC4 is a partnership between Stewart Milne Group, Crest Nicholson, Barratt Homes, Oxford Brookes University, H+H UK and BRE. The £6.4 million project is halffunded by AIMC4’s partners with a further £3.2 million in matched funding from the Technology Strategy Board. The pilot scheme will get underway in the first half of 2011 when the supply chain partners begin working together on the first houses. <br> <br> A low cost, zero-maintenance technology, dynamic insulation uses heat energy escaping from a building to warm air being ducted in via the ventilation system. The temperature of the incoming air is raised by as much as 8ºC using energy which would otherwise be lost.<br> <br>
