Dreadnought launches new heritage roof tile ranges

Premium British roof tile manufacturer Dreadnought Tiles is continuing to raise the bar when it comes to heritage products for restoration schemes. <br> <br> The West Midlands-based producer has, in response to customer demands and requests from English Heritage, launched two new products: <br> ●A dark Staffordshire Blue tile that is a deeper, richer tone than Dreadnought’s existing blue colour. It is available as machine-made, in both sandfaced and smoothfaced Inishes, and also in the new Classic Handformed version. <br> ●A new range of 11” x 7” tiles in Deep Red, Bronze, Purple Brown and Staffordshire Blue. 11” x 7” tiles are used mainly for restoration work. Their re-introduction offers an alternative to the use of reclaimed tiles, which are a diminishing resource and can be more expensive than new tiles. English Heritage has long argued against the use of reclaimed tiles as their use has fuelled theft in the past. <br> <br> The new 11” x 7”s complement Dreadnought’s existing restoration product offer, which includes the recently launched Classic Handformed range.<br> <br>
