Customer satisfaction levels remain high

<p>The industry has maintained high levels of customer satisfaction, with 91% of customers saying they would recommend their builder to a friend, according to the latest National New Homes Customer Satisfaction Survey (CSS) from HBF, NHBC and Homes for Scotland.</p><p>This matches last year’s level and is a 7% improvement in the last five years. The survey also revealed that 87% of respondents said they would buy from their same builder again in the future.</p><p>And 42 housebuilders have earned the highest, five star rating. This is the same number as last year.</p><p>The survey, covering the 12-month period from October 2020 to September 2021, showed that 94% of respondents were satisfied by the internal design of their home, and 88% with the external design. And 83% of respondents were satisfied that their home was completed on time.</p><p>89% stated they were satisfied with the quality of their abode. HBF noted this was despite the period covering impacts from site closures, social distancing and isolation due to the pandemic.</p><p>Meanwhile, 72% of buyers said the number of “snags” they reported was in line with or less than what they had expected. </p><p>In total, 99,119 questionnaires were sent out during the survey year.
