Crest on target to build 4,000 homes a year by 2019

<p>Crest Nicholson remains on course to deliver on its dual targets of 4,000 homes and £1.4 billion of revenue by 2019, the company said today on announcing its results for the year ending October 2015.</p> <p>In the year the firm increased volumes by 8% to 2,725 homes and saw sales revenue up 26% to £804.8 million. Pre-tax profit rose 32% to £154.0 million with operating margin up to 20.3% from 20.1%.</p> <p>Crest ceo Stephen Stone said: "Since the low point of 1,520 units in 2011, Crest Nicholson has increased its volumes by almost 80%. We remain on track to deliver our targets of 4,000 homes and £1.4 billion of revenue by 2019, which would represent a record level of delivery for the business and a more than 150% increase over our 2011 housing numbers."</p> <p>Stone added that the housing market had become more sustainable "underpinned by strong demand dynamics, a benign land market and government policies to improve access to home ownership."</p>
