Oct. 13, 2023

Crest Nicholson has appointed William Floydd as its group finance director designate, effective from November 13.

Floydd will take over from Duncan Cooper who on July 11 announced he would step down from the role, following a short handover period.

A chartered accountant, Floydd was most recently chief financial officer at Watches of Switzerland, Rank Group and Experian Group, UK and Ireland region.

Crest’s chairman Iain Ferguson said: “I am delighted that Bill is joining Crest Nicholson as group finance director. Bill has extensive experience as chief financial officer within the public listed company environment. We very much look forward to working with him.

Floydd said he was “looking forward to joining Crest Nicholson and working with the board and wider team”.

On August 21, Crest issued a profit warning, stating that it expected its adjusted pre-tax profit for the year ending October 31 2023 to be around £50 million, a drop on the £73.7 million it stated when reporting its half year results in June.

Crest is due to issue a trading update on November 16.
