CRASH invites industry to take the 2.6 Challenge

<p><span>Industry charity CRASH has launched the 2.6 Challenge, aiming to replace the loss of income to charities as a result of the cancellation of the London Marathon </span><span>and other fundraising events.</span><span></span></p> <p><span><span>CRASH, which assists homelessness and hospice charities with construction related projects, is encouraging the sector to take part in an activity of their choice inspired by the number 2.6 or 26, representing the 26 miles of the marathon which was due to be held on April 26 but was cancelled due to the coronavirus crisis. </span></span><span></span></p> <p><span><span>Once they have completed their activity, </span><span>participants can donate to the charity. </span><span>The 2.6 Challenge is fronted by the London Marathon team.</span></span><span></span></p> <p><span><span>Lucie Gillard, CRASH’s fundraising co-ordinator, said: ‘‘CRASH is excited to be part of the 2.6 Challenge as it’s inclusive, creative and you can make the most of what you enjoy doing whilst supporting CRASH. I’m lucky to live opposite a common so I wanted my challenge to be outside during my daily exercise.
