CPA forecasts 6% growth in private housebuilding

<p>The latest forecast from the Construction Products Association suggests private housebuilding will increase by 6% in 2013.</p> <p>Overall housing starts are forecast to reach 122,000 in Great Britain in the year.</p> <p>But the CPA is forecasting construction output to fall by more than 2% in 2013. "Despite these forecasts there are some sectors of construction where growth is anticipated," said CPA economics director Noble Francis. "Private housebuilding is expected to grow 6% in 2013 boosted by the Bank of England's Funding for Lending Scheme." </p>
