Countryside partners with Homes England on two key sites

<p><span>Countryside has become Homes England’s preferred development partner on two major sites in Kent and Hertfordshire which will in total deliver up to 900 homes.</span><span></span></p> <p><span>The housebuilder has exchanged contracts on the sites with construction expected to start in 2022. In Kent, two sites in Chatham called Brunel and Riverside – which Countryside explained constituted an area known as the “Interface Land”- are in the Chatham Historic Dockyard Conservation Area and “well positioned” for access to local retail, educational and transport amenities, Countryside said.</span><span></span></p> <p><span>These Kent sites will see a mixed-use scheme of 2.7 hectares, potentially creating 274 new homes of 25% affordable housing and more than 11,000 sq ft of commercial space.</span><span></span></p> <p><span>The 22-hectare Hertfordshire site - Spencer’s Park Phase 2 – sits north east of Hemel Hempstead with all homes to be built using modern methods of construction.
