Consumer Council calls for industry regulation

The National Consumer Council (NCC) has called for a shake-up in the way that the new build housing market is regulated. It claims that consumers have few rights when buying a newly built home, arguing that many people face delays in moving into their new home and \"up to 90% of customers\" have snagging problems such as faulty wiring or ill-fitting doors after moving in.
