Construction industry pushes its election agenda

Organisations representing different sections of the construction industry have agreed an election agenda to be put to all political parties. The group consists of seven bodies including the Construction Products Association, the Construction Industry Council and the Federation of Master Builders. The agenda asks the parties to commit to such things as: an improved planning system which works more quickly and effectively, incentives for housebuilders to improve the energy efficiency of their properties and sustainable development policies which recognise the needs as well as the responsibilities of the industry.
