<p>The HBF has called for “joined up thinking” from government regarding water regulations and the code for sustainable homes (CSH). HBF head of technical Dave Mitchell said: “We welcome the fact that they will either be a Building Regulation or a DEFRA regulation so there won’t be any duplication.</p> <p>But there is a section in the CSH to do with water conservation so we are asking for some joined up thinking.” It is still undecided which government department will have responsibility for water regulations.</p><b> <p>NEXT KEY DATE: A report on the consultation is due before the parliamentary recess, which begins on July 21. New regulations will be implemented in April 2007.</p></b>
