Chiefs switch jobs as shake-up goes on

<b></b> The managerial merry-go-round in the housebuilding industry has continued into the new year as the shake out from the restructuring of 2001 continues. Management changes have taken place at a series of firms over recent weeks.<br>The Laing group has appointed a new chairman, Bill Forrester, who will take over from Sir Martin Laing this month, heightening speculation that the group will soon sell either its housebuilding arm or infrastructure company. The company is still adamant that Laing Homes is not for sale.<p></p><p>At Taylor Woodrow, former head of Bass breweries Iain Napier is the new chief executive, replacing Keith Egerton who is retiring. With experience of property development during his time at Bass and as a non-executive director of St Modwen Properties, Napier said: &amp;“I have the core skills on the property buying side, measuring returns and assessing the viability of projects. I can&amp;’t believe housing is that different.&amp;” </p><p>Former Wilcon chief exec John Tutte has turned up at Redrow as a regional chairman, while the shake-up at his old company continues.
