The government’s chief planner Joanna Averley will address this year’s HBF Policy Conference in London on March 27, just three months after the publication of the new National Planning Policy Framework as the government looks to ease the path to the delivery of 1.5 million new homes in this parliament.
As well as focusing on planning reform, the HBF Policy Conference will also analyse the market, discuss mortgages and finance, examine structural changes in the corporate aspect of the industry, look at government policy, and explore the challenges of skills, resources, materials and innovation.
There will be insights into the industry’s environmental, sustainability and quality issues and discussion on how innovation and excellence will help on the road to net zero.
Other speakers include Lloyds Banking Group md Intermediaries Esther Dijkstra, Emma Toms, ceo of the New Homes Quality Board, and Mark Aedy, md at global investment bank Moelis & Company, who will take a City view of the sector.
Zoopla executive director Richard Donnell, Lucian Cook, head of residential research at Savills and Emily Williams, director of residential research at Savills, will give their market perspectives.
