Celotex PL4000 brings performance to Orion Homes

To help maximise saleable space whilst meeting U-value targets, Orion Homes has specified more than 3,000m2 of Celotex PL4000 PIR insulation bonded-to-tapered-edge plasterboard for its new Sunnydale Gardens housing development in West Yorkshire. Celotex PL4000 is a thermal insulation board where the PIR insulation is bonded to 12.5mm tapered edge plasterboard. <br><br>Offering a lambda value of 0.022, Ofgem approval and BBA certification, this product offers high levels of thermal efficiency, Celotex claims, and can be installed internally using direct bond or mechanical fix techniques for maximum flexibility and installation speed for new build and refurbishment projects. To meet the targeted U-values with a system that worked alongside the clear cavity construction technique used by Orion Homes, Celotex PL4000 in an insulation thickness of 55mm proved ideal, Celotex says. <br><br>The company explains that the product’s ability to meet thermal requirements whilst helping to minimise wall thickness and therefore enhancing floor space within the homes, was of paramount importance. <br><br><a href="http://www.celotex.co.uk">www.celotex.co.uk</a>
