The aesthetics and low maintenance benefits of Marley Eternit’s Cedral Weatherboard made it a “perfect choice” for leisure home manufacturer Lissett Homes at The Warren in Gwynedd, Marley Eternit says. Lissett Homes was initially drawn to the appearance of fibre cement Cedral Weatherboard because the textured surface echoed the aesthetic characteristics of timber, Marley explains.

However, being made from fibre cement means that it provides a long term low maintenance solution, which was particularly beneficial as The Warren is located on the coast at Gwynedd. Marley says that fibre cement Cedral Weatherboard has an installed life expectancy of at least 50 years and will not warp or shrink.

It also has fire classifications A2-s1, d0 to EN 13501-1. Cedral Weatherboard is now used by York-based Lissett Homes for its other luxury seafront properties around the UK. Cedral Weatherboard can achieve an A+ rating in the BRE (Building Research Establishment) Green Guide to Specification based on generic rating: Cedral Weatherboard –autoclaved fibre cement (calcium silicate) cladding –(Element Ref: 806220701, 806220675, 806220676).

www.marleyeternit.co.uk
