Call to support locals

<p>Llandeilo-based Davies Richards Homes has spoken out in a big to urge regional developers to buy materials and services locally to support communities. The Welsh housebuilder said the firm’s policy has been a winning formula in sustainability and marketing terms.</p> <p>Director Carwyn Davies said: “Customers are thrilled when they hear that their home has been built by local craftsman; it’s been a real selling point. “We work with many local suppliers in Wales, and buying locally means we can support and sustain a local economy. Also, our customers know that the suppliers and craftsmen who worked on their home are only down the road if they want to talk about the product.”</p> <p>Davies added: “There has been a lot of attention in the media on the importance of consumers buying local produce and supporting farmers, but all businesses should support local small businesses if they can.”</p>
