<p>Cala Homes saw its pre-tax profit and home sales fall during its half year, results from parent company Legal &amp; General revealed today (August 15).</p> <p>For the six months to June 30 2023, the housebuilder’s pre-tax profit was £73 million against the £98 million achieved during the same period in 2022. It sold 1,428 units compared to last year’s 1,527.</p> <p>Cala’s residential house sale revenue remained the same as H1 2022 at £619 million. L&amp;G, who said that the housebuilder had “continued to perform well over H1 2023 in the face of a challenging market”, stated that reservations on private units stood at 75% of the full year, “providing confidence in the delivery of Cala’s FY 2023 targets”. </p> <p>In 2022, Cala achieved a 9% revenue lift on 2021 to £1.36 billion.
