Cala launches rebrand

<p><span>Cala Homes has unveiled a rebrand, revealing a “vibrant new look to reflect the evolution of the business”.</span></p> <p><span>Cala, which builds in the south of England, the Midlands and Scotland, said that it had worked closely with creative agency Frame to create a <a href="https://www.cala.co.uk/">new visual identity.</a> This has been forged from its five-year plan following years of growth which has seen it renew its vision and purpose internally, develop an “ambitious” sustainability strategy and evolve its “people approach”, featuring an inclusive culture.</span></p><p><span>Cala said the new branding illustrated Cala’s “more conscious drive” towards better representation across race, gender, sexuality and age in imagery and an appreciation of people’s needs. It has moved away from its well-established gold and black colour scheme but retained the black square, producing a design with higher contrast lettering with a black and white logo to cater for those who are colour blind. </span></p> <p><span>The housebuilder added that the typography of the new brand design was chosen for greater legibility on screen and for people with dyslexia or visual impairments.</span></p> <p><span>Cala also pointed out that removing the metallic gold colour of the previous logo would allow it to produce development signage and company stationery more sustainably.</span></p> …
