Cala acquires Taylor Lane Timber Frame

<p><span>Cala Group has acquired Taylor Lane Timber Frame as part of its commitment to climate targets and growth ambitions.</span></p> <p><span>The housebuilder said its investment in the timber frame construction specialist would help it increase its use of timber frame in England to around 1,500 new homes per annum over the next five years. This is in line with its carbon reduction strategy to transition to timber frame across all homes built in England “where possible”.</span></p> <p><span>In Scotland, Cala has been building with timber frame for more than 40 years, with around 80% of its homes built using this method.</span></p> <p><span>The firm said that under its ownership, Taylor Lane Timber Frame would supply Cala’s five English businesses in the Cotswolds and south of England from its factories in Hereford and Wales.
