Bovis Homes has submitted a planning application for a 276ha (681 acre) development, which will form a mixed use extension to Wellingborough town in Northamptonshire. The Wellingborough East scheme incorporates 3,200 new homes along with retail and light industrial development and a new transport interchange. If the early 2005 consent is achieved, as anticipated, the scheme will be one of the largest mixed use developments in the UK.
