Boots selects ilke Homes for Nottingham scheme

<p>ilke Homes has partnered with Boots UK to deliver a 622-modular home scheme in Beeston, Nottingham.</p> <p>The development, which ilke described as the UK’s “largest low-rise modular housing development”, will be delivered at a 43-acre site close to Boots’ UK headquarters. It forms part of the 286-acre Nottingham Enterprise Zone which the government named in 2011.</p> <p>Through architect HTA Design, the modular housing company will deliver a “model village” of 505 houses and 117 apartments, which, ilke said, would create “a connection between people and place”, building on a high quality landscape design and bringing a variety of homes.</p> <p>The scheme, subject to planning permission, will become ilke’s flagship site, with the intention for it to blend sympathetically with the surrounding area of “iconic” 20<sup>th</sup> century buildings, the Beeston canal and, further beyond, the River Trent meadows. A reserved matters planning application is due to be submitted “imminently”. </p> <p>All the homes, to be manufactured at the company’s factory in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, are set to achieve an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of “at least a B”, thanks to precision-engineering techniques and digital design, ilke said.
