Biomass boilers help social housing project hit Code level six

One of the country's first Code For Sustainable Homes level six affordable housing schemes has utilised Windhager twin biomass boilers in a district heating scheme to help the scheme achieve the highest score available under the Code.<br> <br> Stoneham Green near Southampton is a development by Radian of 11 two and three-bedroom homes. The homes which are all for rent are occupied by a mix of tenants, from young families who were previously in overcrowded conditions, to retired couples downsizing to a smaller property.<br> <br> Radian Group opted for a bespoke district heating system based around two 26kW Windhager BioWIN biomass boilers located in one central BioCABIN which is a pre-packaged plant room.
