Bi-folding doors are very desirable at the moment, claims Brio UK's David Newton, as they are perceived by the public as high value. Those extra finishing touches may be the difference between selling a house or not in a tough market, and bi-folding doors have that "wow" factor he claims.<br> <br> Newton says that folding solutions are becoming more popular, and offer flexible options to architects and specifiers to "flex their imagination muscles" on both internal and external applications.<br> <br> Meanwhile, bi-folding windows will allow easier access to kitchen areas either used between rooms or between the kitchen and outdoor areas, Newton explains. It is a more expensive option than a standard window but would potentially add perceivable value to the property.<br> <br> Heavy, expensive timber and glass doors, however, call for hardware that is up to the job, he adds. All Brio components are made from 316 &amp; 304 grade stainless steel and, additionally, the company is one of the few manufacturers to passivate its product, a process that reduces unsightly "tea staining" on stainless steel, Brio says. <br>
