Bewley marks anniversary with plans to inspire next generation

<p><span>Bewley Homes is marking its 30</span><sup>th</sup><span> anniversary with a set of initiatives to encourage the younger generation into housebuilding.</span><br/></p><p><span>Aimed at primary and secondary schools, Bewley’s campaigns will draw attention to the range of careers available for young people within the industry. With Covid restrictions still in effect, Bewley said it hoped to launch the initiatives “towards the end of the year”.</span></p><p><span>The Basingstoke-based business, which has sites in the Home Counties, Oxfordshire and South Buckinghamshire, also plans to double in size over the next five years, opening a new regional office and expanding its geographic reach. It said that over the past six months the land team had agreed 15 sites, exchanged or under progression, representing 2,500 units. Since it was established in 1991 it has sold more than 5,000 homes.</span></p><p><span>Andrew Brooks, Bewley Homes’ md, said: “It’s not the easiest time to celebrate a major milestone.
