Berkeley launches latest phase of Thames-side Armouries scheme

Berkeley Homes East Thames has launched the latest phase of its Thames-side Royal Arsenal development in Woolwich, south London – the Armouries. The six-storey contemporary scheme is a collection of 455 studios, one, two and three-bedroom apartments, which sits alongside an historic clock tower and carriage works building, which will be converted to 10,000sq ft of commercial and community space, including cafes, bars and restaurants.<br><br>“The Armouries blends modern, contemporary new build homes with stunning existing architecture to create an exciting community,” said Justin Tibaldi, Berkeley’s East Thames md. The 76 acre Royal Arsenal site is one of London’s largest regeneration schemes, which will be served by a new Docklands Light Railway service, due to open in Woolwich in 2009. <br>
