Bellway has appointed Shane Doherty as its chief financial officer.
Doherty will take his post on December 2, at which point he will also become a member of the board. His appointment follows the news on May 21 that Keith Adey, Bellway’s group finance director, would retire.
The incoming cfo previously held the same position at Cairn Homes until April this year, spending more than four years at the housebuilder. Before this, he held several other senior finance posts across various sectors including as cfo at Morgan McKinley and European finance director at Flutter Entertainment (formerly Paddy Power Betfair).
In 2000, Doherty qualified as a chartered accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Adey will remain as group finance director until December 1. Until March 21 2025, he will remain on the board and continue to remain active within the business as an executive director, also helping with the transition.
