Barratt to build at Catford dog track

Barratt Homes has entered into a deal with the London mayor Boris Johnson to redevelop Catford Greyhound Stadium in Lewisham, south east London.<br> <br> The £117 million regeneration project will feature 589 homes, including 416 for private ownership and 113 affordable properties to be managed by Gallions Housing Association. The 4.7 hectare site sits between Catford and Catford Bridge railway stations. <br> <br> The mayor released the publicly owned stadium as part of his ambition to unlock development on public sector land to boost housing supply, jobs and growth.<br> <br> Alistair Baird, Barratt London's regional md, said: "This is the fifth site we have secured in the capital in the last six months, bringing a total of 1,800 new homes to London."
