Barratt keeps number one spot in new Top 25 table

<p>Barratt has consolidated its position as Britain's biggest housebuilder according to Housebuilder magazine's 2011 Top 25 ranking published today.</p> <p>The table ranks housebuilders on turnover while also listing several other criteria including units built, profit and average selling price.</p> <p>The top six has remained steady this year - with Taylor Wimpey, Persimmon, Bellway, Berkeley and Galliford Try in the next positions. Redrow, in seventh, is the big mover, up from 13th under the guidance of returning chairman Steve Morgan.</p> <p>The Top 25 table is extracted from the detailed Top 75 listing which will be revealed in the 2011 Housing Market Intelligence Report, to be launched at next week's Housing Market Intelligence conference at which Morgan will join a strong line up of speakers.
